Let's have some fun here shall we? Since we like watching Padres prospects develop each year, lets have a prospect pick 'em going here on the site. Here's how we do it, pick a prospect that you think will have a great year. Then at the end of the season, we'll get their totals (batting stats or pitching stats) and who ever gets the most points wins the bragging rights -- or maybe a prize.

First, I need help on the scoring/point system. For instance HR is = ? pts, ERA is = ? pts.

I came in late but have done pretty well at this in the past on another site.
Not many left that haven't been picked.....did I see we can take someone that is already spoken for?
    If so.....I want Erlin!

As far as a scoring system,it's going to be kinda tough to find something that gives hitters and pitchers an equal footing....especially considering the different levels and that some of these guys will even change levels as the season goes on.
I think we need something that rewards each player for how much they "improve" over last year maybe?
It's pretty easy to take a guy like Gyorko for instance....but it would take some guts to take Cumberland.
Also,we kind of need a way to reward the guy that does well unexpectedly just as much as the guy who does well
    "expectedly".
    Not gonna be easy.

Very true. We're not gonna take all stats to be easier. How about HR, RBI, OPS for batters and ERA, K, WHIP for pitchers?

Let's do some sort of draft to see who gets the number 1 pick.
